Reindeer Bait

Don't forget to leave a special treat for Santa's helpers this holiday season! Our Reindeer Bait is the perfect combination of sweet and salty — guaranteed to be a hit with Rudolph and his team.

What You'll Need:

-1 box rice cereal
-1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
-1 cup peanut butter
-2 cups powdered sugar
-1/4 cup unsalted butter
-1 cup Mission MightyMe puffs
-1 cup pretzels
-1/2 cup red and green chocolate candies
-1/3 cup sprinkles (optional)

Directions:

1. Melt chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter in a microwave-safe bowl (tip: microwave in 30 second increments and stir in between to avoid clumping)
2. Pour melted mixture over rice cereal (we like to divide the box of cereal into two gallon-size bags and pour the melted ingredients between the two bags: less dishes to wash!)
3. Once the cereal is evenly coated, pour 1 cup of powdered sugar into each bag, seal bags and shake (over the sink) to evenly distribute the sugar
4. Pro tip: once the cereal is coated with powered sugar, dump the mixture into a colander (over the sink) to sift out any excess powdered sugar
5. Pour coated cereal into a large mixing bowl and stir in the remaining ingredients (puffs, chocolate pieces and pretzels)
6. Enjoy!
