What’s NOT in Our Puffs!

All of the good, and none of the bad! That’s our motto at Mission MightyMe.

As parents to three little ones, we launched Mission MightyMe with one very-specific purpose: To give parents trusted options for healthy snacking and food allergy prevention, that also delivered on taste, quality and nutrition.

We weren't happy with the ingredients in the few products that existed, so we partnered with the leading food allergy prevention researcher to develop science-based foods made with the purest ingredients we could find.

We chose a short list of simple, clean ingredients to create a puff that contains more than 50% nuts. Our goal is to create delicious and nutritious snacks that make it easy and enjoyable to include a variety of nuts in your little one’s diet without any of the junk and fillers found in other puffs on the market. You shouldn’t have to trade taste for great ingredients.

Thanks to our clean, organic and non-GMO ingredients and our rigorous heavy metal testing, we’re proud to say every one of our products has been awarded the Clean Label Project Purity Award.

But it’s not just what’s IN our puffs we’re proud of. We are just as proud as what is NOT in them!

Some of the ingredients you will NOT find in our puffs & why:

Natural or artificial flavors
Our Organic Strawberry Peanut Butter Puffs and Organic Banana Peanut Butter Puffs are made with 100% REAL organic strawberries and bananas! You will not find artificial or natural flavors in any of our products.

According to the Environmental Working Group, a single “natural flavor” can contain over 100 ingredients - some of which can include unnatural additions such as emulsifiers, preservatives and solvents. So, when you read “natural orange flavoring”, “natural flavors”, or “natural flavoring”, that natural flavor is not just a single flavor, but more like a complex combination of processed extracts that were formulated in a lab to taste like the flavor, and may not contain any ingredients from an actual orange. That’s why we stick with actual strawberries and bananas!

Cane sugar or cane syrup
The USDA recommends babies under age 2 avoid added sugar. We believe every bite counts, and nutritional exposures in early stages of life contribute to long-term health and development, so you won’t find cane sugar or cane syrup in our puffs. .

Palm oil
Palm oil is a common ingredient in many peanut puffs on the market, but palm oil is high in saturated fat, which can increase the risk of heart disease and chronic health conditions. For babies, palm oil can also result in constipation and reduced calcium absorption.

Corn
Corn is high in cellulose, which can be tough for tiny tummies to digest and it can also cause spikes in blood sugar.

What’s NOT in Our Puffs:

❌ No cane sugar
No corn
❌ No gluten
❌ No cane syrup
❌ No palm oil
❌ No preservatives or anything artificial
❌ No “natural flavors”
❌ No artificial flavors

We love providing snacks that will give you peace-of-mind as a parent, and that will nourish your child from the inside, out!
