Catherine's Picks: Easter Basket Swaps

As a mom of three, I love celebrating holidays with my kids at all ages and stages - and Easter is one of my favorites! But I don't love the sugar overload that often comes after they've gobbled up too many jelly beans and chocolate eggs, so I'm always looking for healthier swaps. I've put together a few of my favorite go-to ideas, from when my children were younger, that still bring all the magic of Easter morning without the sugar overload!

Hope you enjoy!

1. Cerebelly Pouches

Created by a neurosurgeon mom, these veggie-packed pouches are a great way to sneak in nutrients that support brain development. With yummy flavors and clean ingredients, they’re a smart snack swap for typical candy.

2. Amara Organic Smoothie Melts

These single-serve smoothie melts are plant-based and naturally sweet from real fruit—no added sugar required. They’re a great basket addition for babies and toddlers who want a fun, colorful snack like the big kids.

3. Strawberry & Banana Peanut Butter Nutty Puffs

A sweet flavor that feels festive and springy- without any added sugar. Mission MightyMe's Nutty Puffs are over 50% nuts and made with organic sorghum, so they’re nutritious and delicious. A pantry staple that belongs in every bunny's basket. Nutty Puffs are also a perfect treat to use in plastic eggs, instead of jelly beans or candy!

3. Guess How Much I Love You Book

This classic board book is a heartfelt favorite in our home to this day, and a perfect addition to your Easter morning reading pile. A keepsake gift little ones will enjoy for years to come.

4. HABA Wooden Musical Eggs

Colorful, sensory, and just the right size for tiny hands - these wooden eggs each make a different sound and are a perfect way to add music and play to your basket without the mess of plastic.

5. Sidewalk Chalk Paint Brush Set

For spring days outdoors, this is a great mess-free way to keep little hands busy. The chunky grip is perfect for toddlers, and the “paintbrush” format makes chalk play feel fresh and fun.

6. Cuddle + Kind Mini Bunny Doll

A snuggly addition to your basket that also gives back: each hand-knit doll provides meals to children in need. It’s adorable, soft, and makes a meaningful keepsake for years to come.

7. Morepeas Everything Snack Cup

I love including functional pieces in baskets that we’ll actually use—and this snack cup is one of them. It suctions to surfaces, comes with a lid, and is perfect for serving Nutty Puffs (or any snack) on the go.
